The sixth C of Lee Iacocca's list for leadership.

QUOTE from Dwight D. Eisenhower: " Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it."

Today I'm writing what I LEARNED about Lee Iacocca's sixth C in his list of nine traits of leadership. The sixth C is CONVICTION.

CONVICTION is a fire in you belly. You're got to have passion. You've got to really  want to get something done. In 2006 the U.S. Congress was in session only ninety-two days, that's eleven days less than the record set in 1948.  Most people would be fired if they worked so little and had nothing to show for it. But Congress managed to find the time to vote itself a raise. Now, that's not leadership.

The seventh C starts with the letters CHAR _ _ _ _ and is eight letters long. Take a guess - the answer tomorrow.

HUMOR for today: Here's How Some American Advertising Slogans Translate into Foreign Languages.

Coors translated its slogan "Turn It Loose" into Spanish, where it was read as "Suffer from Diarrhea."

Chicken magnate Frank Perdue' line, "It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken," sounds much more interesting in Spanish: "It takes a sexually stimulated man to make a chicken affectionate."

The Chcvy Nova never sold well in Spanish-speaking countries. "No Va" means "It Does Not Go" in Spanish.
