Pete's BLOG-Day 26,352. Penn. ID law blocked

Today is Wednesday, October 3, 2012. My stats: 10 minutes of yoga, 10 minutes of lifting weights and 56 minutes of walking = 3.1 miles for an October total of 6.1 miles. My weight was 163.4 pounds.

QUOTE from Bill Simmons of Lexington, Kentucky: "You never diminish yourself when you praise another."

My HAPPY THOUGHTS today. I'm happy today that a judge in Pennsylvania blocked Pennsylvania from requiring voters to show photo identification in this November's election, a decision that could influence turnout in a top electoral prize in the presidential race. His reasoning was that the process of obtaining a photo ID was too slow and there would not be sifficient time for everybody to get an ID.

However, the judge said the law could be implemented in future elections which would allow sufficient time for all voters to get their photo ID cards by 2014.

HUMOR for today: A foreigner visiting America decided to witness a joint session of Congress. After sitting in the visitors' gallery for over an hour he left and met a Washington friend.
"Well," asked the friend, "what did you think of it?"
"The American Congress is strange. A man gets up and speaks and says nothing. Nobody listens - then everybody disagrees with him!"
