Pete's BLOG - Day 26,370-371 Sunday -not so wonderful.

Today is Monday, October 22, 2012 - a rainy morning. My stats today: 10 minutes of yoga, 10 minutes of lifting weights and 39 minutes of walking = 2.1 miles for an October total of 46.1 miles. My weight was 166.4 pounds - ouch! - too much tailgating.

QUOTE from Reminisce Magazine: "If you want a rainbow, you have to put up with the rain."

Sunday, October 21 was not so wonderful. Penn State kicked our butt 38-14.  It is not as much fun to read the Sunday sports page when we get whupped like we did. Brad and I went to the game and stayed to the bitter end - we're true Hawkeye fans - over 75% of the crowd had already left when the game ended.  We play Northwestern next week in Evanston. We need to get our offense scoring some touchdowns. But throughout Ferentz's 13 years he has a way of coming back after a tough loss. I hope it continues.

Today is Monday, October 22, 2012. I took to the Cedar Rapids airport at 10 this morning. He is flying back to Denmark via Minneapolis, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. It takes about 22 hours.

Tonight  is the third and final debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney. Viwers are going to have to chose between the debate, the baseball game between San Francisco and St. Louis and the NFL football game between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. So the number of viewers for the debate is most likely going to be a lot less. Go Obama.

That's all for today.
