Today is Friday, November 9, 2012. My stats today: 10 minutes if yoga, 10 minutes of lifting weights and 38 minutes of walking = 2.0 miles for a November total of 22.1 miles. My weight was 163.8 pounds.
QUOTE from Congresswoman Donna Edwards of Maryland: "One thing that's always been very startling to me is to see that on the floor of the Houe of Representatives when you look over on one side where the Democrats caucas and you look to the other side and it looks like two different visions of America."
My THOUGHTS today. The quote above caught my attention this morning - here is why. What she is talking about is the following:
1. In the House white men hold 90% of the Republicans seats - Dems are 47% white.
2.. There are 57 women Democrats - Republicans have 20.
3. Democrats have 23 Hispanics - Republicans have 5.
4. Democrats have 41 blacks - Republicans have 1 maybe 2 (undecided election.)
Edwards said "When voters look at the Democratic Party, what they see is America."
HUMOR for today. One of my Walmart friends is threatening to move to Canada because Obama was re-elected president. She has stated she hates "socialism" so one of her colleagues told her that Canada was much closer to socialism than the U.S. That didn't faze her but the colleague told me she reconsidered because she said "she wouldn't be able to get FOX News in Canada." Now that is good for a laugh.
