Pete's BLOG-Day 26,326. It's time for some gun control

Today is Sunday, December 16, 2012. No stats today as Sunday is my day to relax.

QUOTE from Joel Manby, president and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment, the largest family-owned theme park corporation in the u.S.: "Spend part of each day actively encouraging the behavior that you want to reinforce. I believe the definition of CEO needs to be expanded to stand for 'chief encouragement officer.' Encouragement and enthusiasm start at the top whether you run the local PTA or a Fortune 500 company."

My THOUGHTS today: After the Connecticut massacre of 26 innocent kids and adults it is time in America that we look seriously at some form od gun control. I'm not talking about hunting weapons but automatic and semi-automatic handguns and rifles. There is no need for these weapons to be available to civilians - these are needed by the military but not by mentally disturbed or even normal people. These weapons are made to kill PEOPLE - and they've been doing a good job of killing innocent people in recent years. Why? Why? Why should anybody be able to buy these people killing guns? It doesn't make sense.
